Dodging Eagles, Brushing Ridges, Flying Through Gorges, Blasted by Torrential Rains and Racing over the Pacific at 100ft - Aerial Filming Along the Most Typhoon Ravaged Coastline in the World - Taiwan, 6th January 1200z

I am currently in Taiwan co-ordinating an aerial shoot with Kaimu Productions and world renowned camerman Ron Chapple from Aerial Filmworks for a major international broadcaster. Today we spent over 3 hours in the air battling chaotic weather filming some of the most incredible scenery on the planet - Taiwan's rugged east coast and Taroko Gorge.

We had a very near miss with a giant eagle which could have caused significant damage to our helicopter if we'd hit it. Tomorrow we will be taking off at dawn to film the sunrise casting light on the 10,000ft mountains erupting out of the Pacific.

We are using a brand new Jet Ranger helicopter with one of the world's most sophisticated aerial camera systems, the gyro-stabalised Cineflex V14.

We will be flying over the centre of the island in a helicopter filming the stunning mountain scenery as well as the rugged typhoon blasted Pacific east coast.
